About You

AGM is seeking a talented and innovative Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team, focused on redesigning the Omeo from the ground up. This role is critical in enhancing the electro-mechanical functionality of the product to improve user experience, performance, and durability.

Omeo Mechanical Design Engineer Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Collaboration: Use SolidWorks to create detailed 3D models, simulations, and prototypes for testing and validation, while collaborating with cross-functional teams including electrical and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
  • Project Coordination: Oversee fabrication processes and develop methods for testing and inspection of components, products, and systems.
  • Documentation: Generate and modify detailed drawings and solid models using SolidWorks; write clear assembly and testing instructions.
  • ISO Compliance: Ensure adherence to ISO Design and Development procedures for all AGM controlled products.
  • Travel: Participate in moderate travel for customer meetings, vendor relations, and trade shows.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from an accredited university.
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of mechanical design engineering experience preferred.
  • Skills: Proficient in SolidWorks; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; excellent communication skills.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to talk, hear, and sit frequently, with occasional standing, walking, and handling objects. Duties may involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The role requires lifting/moving up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally. Good eyesight (with or without correction) and hand-eye coordination are essential.

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

  • This position requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency, or status as a U.S. Person as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
  • This is an on-site role, and remote work arrangements are not available. Candidates must be willing and able to work at our facility during designated working hours.

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

40.00 hours per week before overtime, paid holidays or time off.
